Video is a great media for demonstrating a product while you communicate the benefits and features using a scripted voice over and graphics.
We’re currently editing a new product video for the Andover firm, Croydex, following the success of the first product videos we created with them in April.
Below is a recent product video we’ve completed that demonstrates a fantastically practical delivery trolley that is robust, very well engineered and folds down to a very storeable size and shape. I showed this video to an office manager last week as an example of our work. He immediately asked me for the contact details of the suppliers so he could buy one for their office, to move boxes of photocopying / printing A4 paper. His personal experience persuaded him that product videos are a great media to sell with.
One of the great things about product videos is you can incorporate them into your social media as well as your website — and people like to open videos! From analysing the data on the videos we stream for clients and ourselves we have learned that the introduction graphics need to be very short, in fact people can read them before they click to start the video. What we’ve learned is if the video takes more than a few seconds to get started your average web browser is thinking of clicking away.
