ProMotion Media had the pleasure of creating an event video of this year’s Hackett Rundle Cup. Our client, John Norwood, from St. James’s Place Wealth Management Group was one of the main sponsors of the prestigious event. John wanted a video that captured the atmosphere of the event that he could share with his many guests. We met at the venue the week before to walk through the many activities of the day and to discuss his key objective for the video. The event organisers guarantee the privacy of their guests during the day, which did mean there were restrictions on where we could film, but this still left us with plenty of great material. John also asked that we include photos taken by his guests to make the final video more personable.
The Royal Marines Band were in attendance at the event which has allowed us to blend recordings of their playing with lively big band royalty free music to create an uptempo soundtrack.
Originally it was believed that neither Prince William (who was away in Canada) or Prince Harry would be attending, but at the last minute Prince Harry was available to play for the Army’s polo team. The historic Army Vs Navy Rundle Cup match was the finale to a great day that included Katie Price and Tom Ward playing in the opening charity polo and bike polo competitions, and a charity wheelchair race, all on behalf of the Inspire Spinal Injury Charity. Other highlights included a skydiving display, the USA Army Vs a British Combined Forces polo match and the fabulous Royal Marines Marching Band.
The final client video is 11 minutes and John will be delivering them to his clients as a souvenir of the day on DVD with a specially designed case. Below is a 2 minute highlights video from the day.

I’m with a video production company, and I like the look of the footage you got. What kind of camera did you use, and what kind of post process do you do?
